I graduated from James B. Hunt High School in 2008 before going on to NC State University. I hold both an Associate of Arts Degree in Pre-Liberal Arts from Johnston Community College and a Bachlor of Arts Degree in English from NC State with a minor in Philosophy.

The 2016-2017 school year marks my third year teaching (first two were at Goldsboro High School) and my first year as a Beddingfield Bruin! I have taught all levels of English as well as a Creative Writing course. I am also one of the advisors to the Hispanic at Heart club here at BHS, and in the past I have advised clubs and activities such as the Goldsboro High Gay-Straight Alliance, National Honor Society, and Prom Committee.

I was born in Bristol, Rhode Island and have lived in Wilson County since I was four. I haven't gone far, even for schooling, and am happy to call North Carolina home. I love everything about English and the written word and am so excited to be back in my home county teaching as part of the Bruin family! In my off time I co-lead my daughter Sora's Girl Scout Troop (1775) right here on Evansdale Rd and also compete in HEMA longsword competitions in the Southeast United States.
